Overview

As a New Business Strategist at MRi, you will be responsible for full-cycle sales efforts, from prospecting & initial contact through SOW execution. This role requires a business development and sales background, ideally selling digital solutions, especially marketing promotions for brands and agencies. 

Strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to start, develop, and nurture relationships, a positive attitude, and being a team player are essential to the success of this role.

This role is about finding new clients for the MRi team, making connections, and fostering relationships with key decision-makers which translate into closing deals and selling projects for our team to execute. Our ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated and able to dive into the role immediately. This person should be prepared to join an energetic, experienced team of client strategists who are used to working in a fast-paced environment.Bu

Key Responsibilities for the Role:

  • Generate leads through professional networking and cold outreach techniques
  • Prospecting and building new business opportunities through meetings and presentations
  • Ability to understand our potential client’s needs and effectively communicate MRI’s value proposition to prospects
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to close opportunities with mid and senior-level executives
  • Strong presentation skills to share MRi’s capabilities and case studies portfolio to prospective clients, both in-person and/or by phone and web conference opportunities
  • Work with internal resources to help develop digital concepts and ideas to support client’s objectives
  • Negotiate and participate in pricing strategy and SOW terms for potential projects
  • Effectively transition closed projects to client strategy and project management team for execution
  • Develop prospect account strategy/plan and manage prospect pipeline with lead gen and CRM software tools
  • Research target accounts to gain a high-level understanding of their business and how MRI services may help
  • Work with the Client Strategy team to network with new clients to promote and foster the growth of MRi services and capabilities

A few requirements:

  • 2 years successful sales experience with large brands and agencies, ideally within: Consumer Packaged Goods, Quick Service Restaurants, Financial Services, Beverage, and Alcohol industries
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
  • Confidence to present complex services and ideas in a simplified format
  • Eagerness and enthusiasm for conversations and meetings
  • Tactful and professionally persistent with prospects and clients
  • Patience for a longer sales cycle with detailed follow-up 
  • Marketing promotions experience is a huge plus, and we have a great team to help get you up to speed quickly

Compensation Package:

  • Base: $60,000 – $70,000 based on experience, skills, and successful history of sales to large brands and agencies
  • Generous commission structure consisting of no sales territories, bonus possibilities, and no cap on earnings

Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack PHP Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, as well as experience with CI/CD, AWS and Linux. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company and clients PHP-based web applications. In addition, the Senior Full Stack PHP Software Developer will be responsible for mentoring and training junior developers.

responsibilities:

  • Mentor and train junior developers on PHP development best practices
  • Design, develop, and maintain our company’s PHP-based web applications
  • Work with a team of developers to implement new features and bug fixes
  • Oversee the complete software development process from conception to deployment
  • Maintain and upgrade the software following deployment
  • Have a proven record of success in CI/CD
  • Manage the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications

Overview

Our Client Strategist role is at the forefront of conversations with our clients, ensuring we are bringing new, fresh ideas to their marketing plans and communicating expectations to the MRI teams. This role is the main liaison between clients and agency, helping to translate work and expectations into solutions and project deliverables, and then working closely across the MRi teams to ensure project success. Success in this role is often measured by: client retention, positive client growth, and helping bring new and exciting programs to our clients and teams. This is a remote role and candidates will ideally be located in the Chicagoland area to occasionally meet in-person with our teams and clients. 

Key responsibilities:

  • You’ll be the primary point of contact for our existing clients, building and maintaining strong client relationships through a proactive approach, analyzing their business, and demonstrating the value of the MRi services and capabilities on our client’s business. 
  • Help develop promotional marketing strategies and programs, and present them to clients in a way that shows value and benefits to their business
  • Develop scopes of work and high-level objectives for the client programs
  • Create and maintain an internal client relationship management system to identify current clients, upcoming projects, pending projects, and opportunities with brands.  
  • Stay up to date on consumer trends and develop  briefs and overviews to help demonstrate how this may positively impact our clients 
  • Liaising with, and acting as the link between, the client and the rest of the company by maintaining regular contact with both, ensuring that communication flows effectively. 
  • Dive into your brands, clients, and targets to understand their short and long-term goals and marketing strategies for which MRi can assist
  • Works with new and existing clients to continuously look for opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell company capabilities through maintaining communications and building strong relationships with those clients.
  • Identify the goals and KPIs of the client(s) and work to help achieve those goals. 
  • Create program briefs to outline the details and objectives of the client programs, and to get the teams excited about the upcoming work. 
  • Develop and send concise call reports and recap when applicable to align client and MRi teams on action items and next steps from the call
  • Work with New Business and Project Management  team to manage the budget on the program, including sending invoices, receiving payments, and overall program reconciliation 
  • Establish business goals and objectives for each strategic account and/or brand, then put them into action.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field
  • 2-3  years of agency experience in marketing or advertising, with a focus on promotional marketing a huge plus
  • Knowledge of consumer marketing programs and their impact on business goals
  • Proficiency in project management processes, Google Suite, Microsoft

Overview

The System and Network Administrator plays a critical role on the MRi Digital team, and overall in the success of our company. They are responsible for the day-to-day administration and technical support of complex Linux servers, Virtual Infrastructure and Systems Management, and maintenance and support of end-user systems. You’ll be working closely with our teams on client projects and making sure our internal systems are updated and secure. 

Our ideal candidate will be proactive, have great organizational skills, not shy away from communication with our teams, think through and help solve different problems, and gain an understanding of our business to help our team achieve amazing results.

You will help us create the best digital, promotions, products, and campaigns to achieve our client’s marketing goals. MRi takes pride in our ability to constantly push the boundaries of development in the digital promotions space, and you will take an active role in working closely with our client services, business development, creative, and project management team to guide, develop, and deliver exceptional work for our clients and partners.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Design, install, configure, upgrade, maintain, monitor, and tune performance of Linux-based servers and infrastructure, both internal and client-related promotions.
  • Provide support for problems and issues that come up from our clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Examine and audit various server logs and determine if any corrective action is required.
  • Review releases of new operating systems and evaluate the implementation in the enterprise.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server firewall and other security software.
  • Identify and provide technical resolution for potential security breaches, then establish and monitor security and apply appropriate fixes.
  • Implement and maintain technical solutions for disaster recovery and business continuity of enterprise and client systems.
  • Select the ideal server hardware for the company’s needs and administer physical server hardware, including repair and replacement of parts as necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain proper end-user system security by ensuring operating systems and software are up-to-date and applying patches as necessary.
  • Maintenance and support of all end-user service accounts including Office365, Google Workspace, hosted VoIP accounts.

The Essentials

  • 1-2 years of experience in Linux server administration in a small to midsize environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 4 years of related work experience.
  • Able to effectively plan, deploy and administer Linux servers in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong familiarity with Linux OS, Windows, macOS, application, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with VMware ESXi and XenServer/XCP-NG, DigitalOcean, Amazon AWS, and Docker.
  • Networking and Storage – Familiarity with pfSense (*BSD pf) firewalls, Ubiquiti network gear, Synology NAS equipment, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, and AFP file protocols.  TCP/IP, UDP, and VLAN. configurations to manage networking and storage.  
  • Ability to compose thorough and clear documentation on routine tasks, standard operating procedures, and other documents beneficial to team members.

You’ll stand out if you have experience with

  • Debian-based Linux or Ubuntu operating systems, roles, services, concepts, security, permissions, middleware, and facilities required. (e.g. SMTP, NFS, SMB, iptables, LVM, LUKS).
  • Amazon AWS S3, EC2, and ElasticBeanstalk required.
  • Samba4 as an Active Directory Domain Controller, Administering Active Directory through. the use of GPOs and OUs.
  • Supporting Windows and macOS systems.
  • Scripting concepts and methods with competence in at least one relevant language (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, etc.)
  • Internet clients/servers/protocols, including HTTPS, SSH, MTAs (e.g. Postfix).
  • An ability to explain complex technical processes in a more simplified version to team members, clients, and partners.
  • Experience with IT project management practices and techniques.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
